Are you prepared to embark on your next career journey with us?Job Summary The Supervisor Ramp role encompasses the management, coordination, and oversight of airport activities related to Ramp Services functions. This includes monitoring work performance quality and quantity, directing personnel within the assigned area, managing staffing needs, and participating in the disciplinary process, coaching, counseling, hiring, and termination of employees. The supervisor ensures adherence to company policies, standards, and contractual agreements, as well as budget and staffing requirements. The role may also involve communication with Airport Board officials and customers. The supervisor is proactive in monitoring employee work to guarantee customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and positive employee relations. They maintain control over all operational aspects in line with the corporate security program and TSA regulations, conduct required company audits for continuous compliance, and oversee the implementation of site-specific security plans. All WFS staff must be issued and display the appropriate company ID. The supervisor ensures fair and respectful treatment of employees, customers, vendors, and other parties. The job's scope can vary based on the operation's size and main business line. Ramp Service Functions include loading and unloading cargo such as mail, express items, baggage, freight, and company materials on and off aircraft; transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft; transferring cargo on the ramp as needed; and handling freight and company materials, including exports at designated express docks, mail, and baggage.Responsibilities

  • Provides efficient and professional customer service, resolving passenger issues as needed.
  • Works in coordination with all departments to meet operational requirements, including those of catering, fueling, and maintenance firms.
  • Serves as a company representative when designated.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance at work.
  • Possesses the ability to read and understand documents like safety regulations, operational and maintenance guides, and procedural manuals.
  • Has the capability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Can calculate rates, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Is skilled in identifying problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Has the aptitude to comprehend a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage various abstract and concrete variables.Minimum Requirements
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.Preferred Skills
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
  • Ability to handle stress. Work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
