Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Director to join the Pura team. This position will play a key role in defining and executing the visual direction of our brand, with a strong emphasis on photoshoot leadership, packaging design, retail environments, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in art direction, with a proven track record of delivering compelling visual campaigns across multiple channels. Additionally, this individual will have experience driving full-funnel marketing campaigns, particularly in eCommerce to engage audiences and drive conversions online. The Art Director will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, designers, and marketing teams to ensure that all creative assets align with Pura’s brand vision and resonate with our audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Photoshoot Direction : Lead and oversee photoshoots from concept to execution, collaborating with photographers, stylists, and production teams to ensure high-quality visuals that reflect Pura’s brand identity.
  • Digital Marketing & eCommerce : Develop and execute creative assets for digital marketing campaigns, including display ads, social media, email campaigns, and website visuals, ensuring all designs are optimized for full-funnel performance from awareness to conversion.
  • Packaging Design : Develop innovative packaging solutions that not only align with our brand but also enhance the customer’s unboxing experience.
  • Retail Design : Lead the design and execution of in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, and other retail touchpoints that effectively communicate Pura’s brand story and enhance customer engagement.
  • Campaign Conceptualization : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute creative concepts for large-scale brand campaigns across print, digital, and in-store environments.
  • Creative Leadership : Guide the design team in creating cohesive visuals across all touchpoints, including digital marketing, eCommerce, product packaging, and retail environments, and provide career mentorship and pathing for younger creatives.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, product development, and external partners to ensure design consistency and brand alignment across all platforms.
  • Project Management : Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from conception to completion, ensuring that all deadlines are met and the highest quality standards are maintained.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience : 7+ years of experience in art direction, with a focus on photoshoot leadership, packaging, retail design, and digital marketing for eCommerce.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
  • Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing leadership in photoshoot direction, retail design, packaging projects, and digital marketing campaigns. Experience with high-end or luxury brands is a plus.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as knowledge of design and production processes for packaging, retail, and digital platforms.
  • Marketing Experience : Demonstrated ability to create visuals that drive engagement and conversion in digital marketing and eCommerce settings, including web and social media.
  • Communication : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail in both design and execution, ensuring consistency and brand alignment across all projects.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and offer creative solutions while maintaining a high standard of quality.
