Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager, the incumbent will oversee administrative matters with employee scheduling, employee timecards, performance management, EPIC work queue management, patient referrals and authorizations for the Center for Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. The Practice Supervisor provides supervision and leadership for front desk staff, appointment scheduling, provider's template, durable medical equipment (DME), registration, and patient relations.
Responsibilities include all aspects of administrative, supervisory, finance and clerical duties, and patient satisfaction initiatives necessary to promote the goals of UCSD Health System. Incumbent exercises independent decision making based on management and leadership skills to exercise these major functions: personnel management, leadership, communication, finance, system development/improvement.
Supports the Clinic Manager with the oversight of all TJC requirements and CQI projects throughout the department. Observe all regulatory requirements to assure ongoing compliance with UC San Diego Health System. Aids the practice manager as a liaison with the community, industry sponsors, and professional groups to help determine the need, relevance, and effectiveness of Pulmonary and Sleep outpatient practices.
Doctor of Audiology (AuD), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Masters in Audiology (MA)
Five (5) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area/ healthcare Admiration or Business Management plus three (3) years of related experience/training to include at least one (1) year as a Supervisor or Manager at medical facility.
California Audiologist License.
California Hearing Aid Dispensing License.

Annual Full Pay Range: $104,900 - $198,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $50.24 - $95.26
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
