The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO) for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds, and physical security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police, campus wide physical security infrastructure and an off-site campus supporting all legislative branch agencies. OCSO also manages the agency’s internal security programs and policies, including personnel suitability and badging and liaises with other partners regarding security matters. The Background Investigator will support the AOC personnel security program by conducting federal background investigations and prepare reports of investigation in compliance with Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $84,700-$142,100. Multiple considerations are taken into account when determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
