Job Description
- Prepare detailed engineering design, including 3D designs, for roadway and highway projects in a digital delivery environment, working in close coordination with project engineers and designers as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Prepare detail plan sheets, plan sets and exhibits with an emphasis on presentation and consistency, while following CADD Guidelines/Best Practices for multiple clients.
- Develop and document quantities.
- Working with a team to implement, refine and develop CADD standards and Quality Control Procedures.
- Work with OpenRoads Terrians including LIDAR derived Terrians.
- Assist in the digital delivery work of project teams.
- Perform uniform setup and configuration of Bentley CADD products for users throughout the company.
- Acquires, understands, and applies technical and professional knowledge and skills to perform job effectively, efficiently, and safely.
- Establishes, enforces, and drives policies that promotes Company vision and culture to achieve company objectives.

Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent in CADD/Drafting, Engineering Technology, 3D Modeling, and/or Bentley certifications. Comparable experience working in BIM, Gaming, Surveying, or other 3D Model Industry will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience as a CADD Designer or CADD Manager in the Civil Engineering field working with modeling software is a significant advantage.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation PowerGeopak is required. AutoCADD, Civil3D, 3dsmax, Unreal Engine, Revit, and Rhino3d, experience are all a plus.
- Experience or the ability to learn to create realistic 3D renderings and animations using Bentley’s rendering solutions through the conversion of CADD data is a significant plus.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with CADD users across multiple offices.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects such as roadway, interchanges, airports, and corporate buildings for DOTs and local governments is a significant plus.
- Having an open mind and desire to grow, learning new processes, software and skills.
- On occasion, develop complex 3D models, layouts, drawings, and designs from written or verbal specifications, from rough or detailed sketches, or drawings.
- Interact with Bentley support to escalate and resolve any software issues.
- Implement and ensure a high level of competency, accuracy and efficiency in digital project delivery.
- Available for occasional travel.
