Under the general direction of the Correctional Administrator (CA), Field Operations, the Captain (Adult Institution) (AI) will assist with the auditing of the Health Care Access Units at each of the 35 adult institutions within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Will work with CDCR’s Office of Audits and Court Compliance (OACC) and Class Action Management Unit (CAMU) in the development, implementation, and management of policies, systems, training curriculum, and priorities necessary to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Disability Placement Program (DPP), the Armstrong court issued orders and the Developmental Disability Program (DDP). This position has the possibility of travel up to 80% of the time with limited notice. This position is located in Field Operations, Corrections Services. The Corrections Services’ programs provide vital services that ensure CCHCS’ continued compliance, health care access, and safety throughout all 35 institutions.
