Position Overview:
Client is seeking a dedicated Compliance Investigator to lead investigations into compliance-related matters submitted through the company's hotline or other reporting channels. These investigations focus on potential violations of compliance policies or federal healthcare laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act. The role involves collaboration with internal teams such as Legal and Human Resources to gather evidence, conduct interviews, document findings, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
The Compliance Investigator plays a key role in maintaining Client's commitment to ethical practices and legal compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong judgment, decision-making abilities, and the capability to influence stakeholders while managing a significant caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive compliance investigations, including interviews, data analysis, and process reviews.
Gather and analyze evidence to determine case disposition and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain detailed documentation and case files, ensuring clarity and accuracy of investigative findings.
Manage a significant caseload with timely resolution of all investigative matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Human Resources, and other compliance functions, to drive outcomes and implement corrective actions.
Provide written and verbal updates to leadership on investigation progress and findings.
Influence decision-making processes and handle difficult conversations related to compliance enforcement.
Assist in driving compliance initiatives across the organization and support additional investigative projects as required.
Perform occasional travel (up to 10%) for meetings, audits, or training.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Law degree, or relevant clinical experience, preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years conducting or leading internal investigations; healthcare compliance experience preferred.
Knowledge: Familiarity with federal fraud and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act, is preferred.

Experience with NAVEX and EthicsPoint compliance systems is a plus.

Hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (core hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM).

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).
