G-Net Construction Corp, a respected leader in New York City's construction and architectural design sector, is seeking a versatile and ambitious individual to take on a pivotal role as a Construction Estimator & Project Manager. This unique position offers the opportunity to engage in a dynamic range of tasks within estimating and project management, catering to projects across all five boroughs of NYC while being based out of our Staten Island, NY office.

Role Overview:

Estimating Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for projects ranging from small renovations to large new construction projects.
• Evaluate and analyze vendor quotes and subcontractor bids for accuracy.
• Perform detailed construction document reviews and attend Pre-Bid meetings.
• Conduct field surveys, engage in bid liaison activities, and manage cost analysis.
• Maintain updated cost book pricing and review project leads from industry sources.
• Utilize Planswift software for estimate take-offs from plans.
• Explore and review project leads from industry-standard sources.
• Ensure all estimates adhere to company standards and project specifications.

Project Management Duties:

• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage vendor proposals effectively.
• Oversee project schedules, perform on-site surveys, and ensure smooth project execution.
• Facilitate client and designer communications, acquire new business partners, and process important documents.
• Regularly visit job sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee the permit application process and construction sign-offs.
• Process proposals, change orders, and post-meeting notes efficiently.
• Maintain and update logs for submittals, ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Facilitate effective communication between clients, designers, and the construction team.
• Ensure all project management activities are in line with company standards and project goals.

Who We Need:

• A holder of a valid NYS Driver’s License with own transportation.
• Exceptional communication and detail-orientation skills.
• Proven experience in construction, management, or estimating.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Construction Estimating Software.
• A background in architecture, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry is a plus.
• NYC DOB Expediter license and an own subcontractor contact list are advantageous.
• MUST HAVE PLANSWIFT EXPERIENCE! WILL ONLY CONSIDER CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION.
