Controller

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and transparency in our financial reporting, maintaining effective internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team, all while providing strong leadership to our accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risk
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage budgets and forecasts
• Perform detailed analysis of financial data and prepare reports for management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Manage the POC (Percent of Completion) revenue recognition process
• Assist with M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) due diligence and integration
• Ensure data integrity in financial systems such as Deltek Vantage Point, NetSuite, Viewpoint, and Spectrum
• Manage state sales tax reporting and compliance
• Assist with Bona Fide audits
• Provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives, including Healthcare and Retail
• Oversee general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification required
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting regulations
• Experience with Close Process and Month End
• Expertise in POC (Percent of Completion) revenue recognition
• Experience with financial systems such as Deltek Vantage Point, NetSuite, Viewpoint, etc.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management
• Experience in Private Equity and/or FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) a plus
