Job Description

We are looking for a Digital Marketing & SEO Specialist who is eager to grow their skills across multiple areas of digital marketing. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to build expertise in SEO, client management, website projects, and more.

While your core responsibilities will include researching, growing, and maintaining SEO accounts and client relationships, you'll also assist with PPC, Meta ads, answering phones, supporting website projects, and collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth project execution. Salary range $65-$85k.

What You’ll Do

Manage SEO Accounts and Drive Client Growth

  • Handle day-to-day client requests, ensuring strategies are executed effectively
  • Conduct keyword research and analyze performance data to optimize campaigns
  • Review competitor strategies and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Regularly monitor SERP traction tools
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices, and alert the team to changes with ideas on how to stay ahead
  • Create content that supports SEO efforts and enhances client visibility
  • Continuously optimize campaigns for better performance
  • Produce monthly reports, proactively flag issues, and recommend improvements

Be a Key Client Contact and Relationship Builder

  • Serve as a primary point of contact, ensuring clients feel heard, valued, and well-supported
  • Conduct deep research into each client’s industry, goals, and competitive landscape
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand services where beneficial

Support Website Projects and Account Management

  • Assist in website-related tasks, including content management, user testing, and image sourcing
  • Work closely with strategists, designers, developers, and project managers to ensure websites meet UX and SEO best practices
  • Help provide support to ongoing client requests

Be Flexible and Ready to Help Where Needed

  • Answer phones professionally and assist with client communications
  • Jump in on various digital marketing tasks as needed
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

About You

Requirements

  • 2+ years of SEO experience in a digital marketing or web agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business or a related field
  • Familiarity with PPC management 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of current digital marketing principles, strategies, and best practices
  • Proven experience managing and monitoring SEO campaigns across Google and Bing
  • Solid grasp of performance marketing, including conversion tracking and pixel set up
  • Ability to commute to our Washington, DC office

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with WordPress and website UX best practices
  • Knowledge of Semrush and Looker Studio
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Basecamp
  • Experience with content management and proofreading
  • Google Analytics certified
