Role Summary

We are looking for a Dispatch Coordinator II to facilitate and support field logistics for the Charging Field Service Operations team during the commissioning and maintenance of our network. In this role, you will work with internal and external parties to ensure we readily respond to issues.

The ideal candidate is innately adept at organization and preparation; able to see all the pieces on the board and know how to efficiently move them to accomplish a goal. The right person in this role views a logistical challenge as an opportunity to problem-solve rather than a source of frustration. With that said, they must be able to respond to situations as they evolve, often juggling multiple priorities. Excellent communication-skills and attention to detail is a must. The Dispatch Coordinator II, Charging will report directly to our Dispatch Supervisor.


Responsibilities

  • Support development and iterative refinement of strategy, operational processes, and tools to facilitate field resource management and dispatching.
  • Work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders to ensure Energy Service Operations is able to meet contractual SLA’s and Rivian benchmarks.
  • Evaluate dispatch requests created by our NOC team to determine the logistical requirements to complete the scope of work within SLA.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch the most appropriate Service resource (internal Technicians and/or Service partners), consistently looking for ways to optimize operations, reduce cost, or enhance communications
  • Collaborate and partner with Rivian Service Depots and/or 3PLs to provision parts, materials, and/or vehicles as necessary.
  • Initiate, oversee, and implement resolutions to combat current and future operational issues in the field, Nationwide
  • Partner and support Field Service personnel by monitoring the status of all dispatches and ensure adherence to Field Service SOPs.
  • Drive excellent performance for Rivian service partners and internal teams.
  • Perform above and beyond to ensure all relevant information related to all service calls is captured thoroughly within Rivian’s Service Operations System(s)
  • Update key stakeholders on dispatch status.
  • Report to senior management challenges and road blocks and present resolutions to action.
  • Organize and lead meetings with cross functional stakeholders for all facets of operations (commissioning, campaign work, parts, work order management, software refinement, etc)
  • Generate reports for work order status including new, re-dispatch, completed, etc.
  • Conduct interviews for Field Service Technicians.
  • Coordinate schedule with Rivian customers and provide the best service experience possible. Address any concerns they may have.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed, including rotating weekend/on-call coverage & availability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, or relevant area of study, preferred with at least 1 year of relevant experience dispatching for a company focused in Service Operations, Logistics, Warehousing, or Transportation.
  • Or a High School Diploma/GED with 2-5 years of relevant experience dispatching for a company focused in Service Operations, Logistics, Warehousing, or Transportation.
  • Proven professional experience utilizing various computer systems such as, MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ETC.
  • Skills demonstrating the ability to confirm, reassure, or resolve customer concerns, issues, or apprehensions.
  • Project coordination/management experience in construction, charging installation, or similar a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud/FSL a plus.
  • Must obtain current valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to sit or stand for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and carry 5-10lbs.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Required communicate using phone and/or e-mail.
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents such as SOPs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm PST, flexibility to work overtime as needed, including a rotating weekend/on-call coverage and availability.
  • Ability to travel 5-10%.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $56,200 to $70,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
