Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Invoice Compliance Reviewer, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our invoicing process for emergency response projects. This temporary role requires attention to detail and a collaborative spirit. Your work will help ensure that data is accurate, invoices meet eligibility standards, and clients receive the support they need to manage disaster recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your primary duties will include:
Invoice Review & Reconciliation: Review debris invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all billings are aligned with contracts and FEMA reimbursement requirements.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Maintain high standards of data integrity, ensuring accuracy for all invoices and related documentation.
Data Management: Support data entry, spreadsheet creation/maintenance, and the extraction of reports for client projects.
Contract Verification: Cross-check invoices against contractual agreements to confirm that all billed items are allowable and eligible for reimbursement.
Debris Tracking: Confirm debris quantities are correctly accounted for and eligible for FEMA reimbursement.
Administrative Support: Assist with data management, document creation (e.g., PDFs), and other administrative duties necessary for project success.
Client Support: Aid in managing past-due invoices and provide assistance with returned invoices when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Proven experience with data management and processing invoices
Knowledge of FEMA eligibility and disaster debris experience
Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and environments
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Previous experience in disaster response or emergency management is a plus
Work Environment & Expectations
Remote work: This role will primarily be remote, though travel to client sites may occasionally be required.
Flexible Schedule: Evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on the project's needs.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, work at a computer, and lift up to 10 pounds when needed.
Fast-paced environment: Must be comfortable working under shifting priorities and deadlines.
Additional Information
Age: Must be 18 or older
Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer visa sponsorship.
Equipment: Must have access to a personal computer and cell phone to perform work duties.
Background Check: Successful completion of a background and reference check is required.
