WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): Under general guidance, collect and evaluate data from organizational units and prepare recommendations for deliverables including financial plans and/or financial analysis. Provide business leaders with financial forecasts to support short and long - term decision making. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. The Analyst II , Maui Wildfires, is a term position for an approximately 2 year position (timeline from about October). The position will support the American Red Cross Long Term Recovery (LTR) Programs. The Finance analyst will report to the LTR Manager. The analyst will support programs with any financial needs related to long-term recovery operations, which includes monitoring direct client assistance and funding provided to grant partners.

Financial needs of the operation that the analyst will support include:
  • Assisting the LTRwith using financial transaction tools,
  • monitoring and advising on financial controls,
  • reviewing and approving grants and transfers of funds to partner agencies.
The analyst is expected to “get their hands dirty” with the regular finance day-to-day work and whatever is highest priority at that moment. This is a remote position. Under limited supervision, the candidate will be able to collect and evaluate data from organizational units and prepare recommendations for deliverables including financial plans and/or financial analysis. May provide business leaders with financial forecasts to support short and long - term decision making. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Responsibilities 1. Conduct and document moderately complex financial analysis projects. 2. Interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. 3. Provide monthly revenue and/or expense analyses and reports. 4. Monitor operating budget process and allocations. Provide analysis to determine present and future performance. 5. Support the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and systems. Scope: Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Apply subject matter knowledge. Capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team. Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.

The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $75,000 Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the job or employee resides. The stated salary range in this posting is an average and may not be reflective of your individual circumstances.
