At Neat, an Inside Product Specialist serves as the primary product expert and technical resource for the Neat sales teams and partner community. Three main points of focus comprise most of the a Product Specialist’s responsibilities:
Sales Collaboration Neat Inside Product Specialists will team with the SMB, BDR, and/or partner representatives to ensure that customers and partners understand the value of Neat’s products, design philosophy, and roadmap. The Inside PS will support several Neat sales representatives in customer opportunities, closely align with them on customer strategy, oversee the technical aspects of product evaluations/proofs of concept and first day seeded gear, assist the BDR team with outbound campaigns, assist the Alliances teams as needed, provide ad hoc demo support.
Product Team Ambassador The Inside Product Specialist acts as the face of our product development team to the customer and partner community. They are responsible for collecting and responding to customer feedback and feature requests, evaluating them based on relevance, and communicating them effectively back to the product team. Inside Product Specialists are expected to understand Neat’s product and feature roadmap and deliver future-state messaging to partners and customers clearly and effectively. They will help facilitate New Product Introductions (NPI) as needed. Additionally, they will act as a backup and handle overflow from the other Product Specialists.
Product Evangelist Inside Product Specialists play a vital role in bringing the ‘wow-factor’ of Neat to both fellow Neat colleagues and the rest of the world. Product Specialists are often called upon to help conduct internal training for the sales teams on how to talk about the value of Neat’s technology most effectively, how to do an effective product demo, etc. Inside Product Specialists might also be asked to act as a technical resource to manage Q&A during webinars and other virtual events
Compensation Inside Product Specialists are officially part of the Neat Sales organization and are compensated via a Base Pay / Salary + sales achievement bonus.
Skills Required Inside Product Specialist candidates will have a strong professional background in videoconferencing and commercial audio-visual technologies. Broader knowledge of unified communications and collaboration technologies (web conferencing, IP telephony, etc.) is a plus. Strong communication/presentation skills are highly desirable. This position is in-office and the Inside Product Specialist is expected to report to the office five days a week
