We are excited to invite applications for the role of Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team. While preference will be given to candidates located in Florida, we welcome applicants from surrounding Gulf and Eastern Seaboard states for remote work opportunities.

As a Commercial Insurance Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing new business submissions for eligibility. You will evaluate each application for coverage to determine if the risk is acceptable, ensuring our underwriting standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review initial information provided by prospective insureds and agents.
- Prepare quotes and maintain continuous communication with prospective insureds/agents until the policy is bound or a decision is made not to proceed.
- Price and rate new submissions according to established guidelines and parameters, collaborating with the Underwriting Operations Manager as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insureds and agents, providing exceptional customer service.
- Contribute to the achievement of production goals.
- Oversee the duties of Underwriting Assistants, particularly with endorsement requests and bind request accuracy.
- Monitor the activities of Renewal Underwriters, assisting with renewal evaluations, revisions, and bind requests as necessary.
- Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the underwriting team.

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
