Job Description

Closets by Design – Milwaukee is looking for motivated, sales-focused professionals with a creative eye, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for home design and organization for our open Designer position. This is a fun and flexible job that blends interior design with traveling sales. Our Designers travel across the state to meet with customers at their home for pre-booked appointments. They work with the customers to design their space and sell them an organizational system that they will love! **This is a remote position but applicants must reside within the state of WI. Work can be completed from home but the position requires travel for appointments throughout the state of WI as well as attendance to trainings and monthly sales meeting at our office and showroom located in Mequon, WI.** Who We Are: Closets by Design – Milwaukee offers superior custom storage solutions for homeowners. Our services include custom design, manufacturing, and installation tailored to our customers space and needs. Our storage solutions are expansive, ranging from closets, pantries, garages, offices, entertainment centers, and more. Closets by Design has been in business for nearly 40 years with locations across the US and Canada. Our franchise is the first in the state of WI. We opened up 5 years ago and have experienced rapid growth. We continue to look for new talent to grow with our team. What We’re Looking For: Our Designers are key members of our team and represent the face of our company. This is a unique position that blends design and sales. We are looking for motivated and creative individuals who love design and organization just as much as they love interacting with and helping customers. Appointments are scheduled with the homeowner for the Designer (no cold calling!). We are looking for sales professionals who can travel to our customers, work with them to understand their vision, measure their space, create the design, price it out, present to the homeowner, and sell! Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Ability to thrive in a full commission/bonus sales environment.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state for appointments.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience in a professional setting.
  • Interior Design experience and/or education preferred but not required.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to conduct business virtually/digitally. Experience with design/drafting software (ex: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, 20/20, etc.) ideal but not required.
  • Reliable, personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid insurance.
  • Minimum schedule availability of 30+ hours per week.
  • Reliable, personal computer and smart phone. Printer with scanner access is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Applicants must reside within the state of WI.

Pay: Designers are 100% commission with monthly bonus opportunities. Average salary ranges from $40k-$60k, with the potential to earn more. All training is paid at a rate of $15/hr. This is a W2 position with a bi-weekly payroll paid via direct deposit. Additional Info: This is a remote position with the ability to work from home and to set your own schedule. Our Designers must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and feel comfortable travelling throughout the state for appointments. All training and monthly sales meetings are held at our office and showroom located in Mequon, WI. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits:
