We are partnered with a boutique advisory shop as they look to hire an Investment Banking Senior Analyst/Associate in Minneapolis.

The Investment Banking Senior Analyst/Associate will be given substantial responsibility to work on multiple engagements with team members across the firm and opportunities to develop into a senior professional who can generate and execute their own transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full cycle of transaction execution which includes performing due diligence, developing detailed financial analyses & company valuations, analyzing transaction structures, preparing company presentations including pitch materials and information presentations.
• Develop transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams by working side-by-side with senior professionals.
• Participate in training and mentoring of Analysts and Senior Analysts and contributing to firm wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background with focus in finance, economics, or accounting.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant investment banking experience with a nationally known firm in their leveraged finance, financial sponsors, M&A, financial restructuring and/or debt capital markets group.
• Strong analytical abilities and deep knowledge of corporate finance theories .
• Mastery of complex financial and cash flow modeling and analysis (LBO, accretion/dilution, pro forma synergy sensitivities, etc.).
• Advanced experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
• Fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with clients and develop compelling business presentations in PowerPoint.
• Acute attention to detail and a dedication to providing high quality work products.
• Highly motivated with the ability to learn and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask is crucial.
