Maintenance & Facilities Manager If interested in this opportunity, please complete our brief survey by copying and pasting the link below into your web browser. Maintenance & Facilities Manager Location: Port Washington, Glen Cove Road and Syosset, NY Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Manage and address all maintenance related requests for multiple buildings and sites
• Maintain buildings and grounds for a clean, neat, and professional appearance
• Perform the following: basic plumbing, electrical, lock set, carpentry repairs, grounds maintenance, snow removal and salting
• Assist with the opening and closing of buildings
• Maintain appropriate indoor air temperatures
• Smaller Repairs and Maintenance to be completed which should not be contracted by a third-party vendor
• Provide inventory control of mechanical and custodial supplies, assist in receiving of same
• Meet and direct contractors as necessary for repairs to Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical heating problems
• Responds to emergency requests as required, including Fire Alarm & Burglar
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and secure work environment
• Follow all safety standards and guidelines
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Position requires an individual to have five years’ experience working in facilities industry in industrial, retail or office buildings.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide useful information
• Ability to work in various conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to follow orders and complete assignments with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to follow safety standards in working with multiple tools and equipment
• Ability to be on-call to handle emergency situations
• Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools
• Must have working knowledge of industrial cleaning solutions and their various uses with the ability to read and understand labels and safety information
