Manual Lathe Machinist & CNC Mill/Lathe Operator

Pay: $23$26/hr
Hours: 5AM 5PM Monday Saturday
Duration: Temp to Hire
Location: Southeast Tulsa

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist and CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to join our team. This role involves programming and operating manual and CNC machines to manufacture parts according to drawings or instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate manual mill and lathe machines.
• Inspect parts to ensure specified dimensions are met using micrometers calipers and other measuring devices.
• Select correct tooling and set up machines accurately.
• Maintain a high level of workmanship and ensure work area cleanliness.
• Make offsets and edits independently and meet daily/weekly production quotas.
• Participate in R&D design reviews and contribute to team success.

Other Duties:

• Mentor and assist less experienced machinists and CNC operators.
• Visualize and study blueprints to aid in machining processes.
• Set up and operate EDM machines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned while exercising good judgment and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Trained in programming and operating CNC machines or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in programming and operating CNC/manual machines.
• Proficiency with CNC equipment calipers micrometers and height gauges.
• Basic computer skills and mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
