Job Description
We are excited to welcome a dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to our team! In this role, you will directly report to the Mortgage Sales Manager and play a crucial part in helping clients find the perfect residential mortgage solutions. This position offers flexibility with a remote or hybrid work environment, allowing you to work from home or one of our office locations, with some travel required for client visits and office meetings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify and connect with clients seeking residential mortgage solutions.
Convert inbound and outbound sales leads into applications proactively.
Assess potential clients' financial needs and recommend the best product/rate combinations.
Meet and exceed monthly sales performance goals.
Essential Functions:
Solicit, originate, negotiate, secure, and process residential mortgage loans.
Provide counseling and advice to loan applicants throughout the process.
Collect necessary information and documents from applicants and other parties.
Communicate established interest rates, points, and fees associated with loans.
Collect charges or any other amounts from loan applicants as needed.
Monitor the status of loan applications and keep applicants and relevant parties informed.
Coordinate loan processing and closing with team personnel.
Address questions from applicants and resolve any disputes related to closings.
Distribute information about loan products, pricing, and services to real estate professionals.
Attend meetings and presentations to stay informed and engaged.
Prepare reports and ensure accuracy and completeness in loan files and document retention.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.
Skills/Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with loan processing guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
Solid understanding of standard loan practices, documentation, and real estate terminology.
Strong knowledge of the mortgage market.
Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
Must be based in California.
Compensation:
Competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $200,000 per year, plus commission pay (1099).
