Medical Assistant
Provides basic level of patient care and treatments. Assists with obtaining vital signs, documents chief complaint and all actions taken. Alerts physician of problems, concerns, or abnormalities. Assists with obtaining patient history, and supports physicians, residents, and licensed nursing personnel. Sets up exam/procedure rooms including instruments for minor procedures. Obtains lab specimens and fills out requisitions completely and accurately. The Medical Assistant II functions more independently and coordinates the workflow of MAs when necessary. Obtains authorization for referrals, normally in small clinics. Conducts front desk duties such as registration, check-in, and scheduling of patients.
Hard Skills
+ MA diploma (certification/registration preferred but not required)
+ 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Phoenix, Arizona.
Work Environment
Monday – Friday 7:30am start time.
Monday – Thursday will work either 9 hours or 8 hours (9 when the doctor is in, and 8 when they are not).
Friday either work 7:30am-1pm or 11:30am-5pm. Clinic environment, non-hospital. Ortho practice.
Pay
$20 – $28 (Depending on experience)
