Job Title: Power Equipment Operator

Location: Delaware/Maryland Area

Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour when not earning prevailing wages (Based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Power Equipment Operator to join our team in the Delaware/Maryland area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery and power equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role may require nights and weekends as well as working during inclement weather. Hourly wage is discussed during the interview process and is only earned when not earning prevailing wages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery and power equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform tasks related to site preparation, excavation, grading, and other related duties.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery and power equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and equipment manuals.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different terrains.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites within the Delaware/Maryland area.
