Job Title: Procurement Administrator

Location: 11600 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 440, Reston, Virginia 20191 (Remote)

Salary Range: $38,500 - $57,750

SUMMARY The Procurement Administrator will provide purchasing support for Agile Defense.

The Procurement Administrator procures goods and services for end users and is accountable for supply assurance and supplier relationships. He or she works with internal customers to establish purchasing requirements and external suppliers to provide competitive sourcing and price negotiations. The Procurement Administrator supports customers with quotes and sourcing recommendations and resolves discrepancies with products or services when they occur.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates purchase and change orders, expedites deliveries, and coordinates invoice payments in accordance with internal procedures and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Acts as the purchasing focal point for IT goods and services supplier agreements, sourcing, problem solving, and cost savings strategies.
  • Is responsible for vendor bidding, cost negotiation, service contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier management.
  • Is responsible for building and maintaining quality and competitive supplier relationships.
  • Works with internal IT engineers and functional leads to identify, vet and recommend best sourcing options and pricing strategies for new project plans.
  • Works with help desk, software services, wireless management, software and hardware maintenance, project management, and other operations services to obtain the best prices, quality, service, and delivery for purchase requirements.
  • Acts as the principal line of communication between suppliers and internal IT operations and support functional groups.
  • Works with corporate and internal procurement teams to develop best practices and leverage lessons learned.
  • Works to continually improve price and vendor performance.
  • Maintains supplier ratings, trend analysis, and develops supplier improvement strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of Federal/DOD contracting Purchasing experience.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills

  • Familiarity with Costpoint.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Excellent time-management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail and results-oriented with the ability to produce highly accurate work products.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with DCMA Contractor Purchase System Reviews (CPSR).
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS.
  • Familiarity with IT hardware and software products and vendors.

WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions

  • Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Some travel to Agile Defense HQ location may be required.

Strength Demands

  • Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
