Job Title: Roofing Safety Manager
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Pay: $90K - $100K + Benefits
Position Overview:
One of our great commercial roofing contractor clients is looking to hire a skilled safety manager in the Cincinnati area. The Commercial Roofing Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs for all commercial roofing projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate safety policies and procedures to employees at all levels.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
· Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, supervisors, and field personnel on safety-related matters, including hazard recognition, fall protection, equipment operation, and emergency response.
· Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary.
· Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety into project planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
· Lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and other educational programs to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop root cause analyses and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training activities, incident reports, and other safety-related documentation.
· Conduct regular safety meetings with management and field personnel to discuss safety performance, address concerns, and reinforce the importance of safety culture.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction safety management, with specific experience in commercial roofing highly preferred.
· OSHA 10 or 30-hour Construction Safety Certification required; OSHA 500 or equivalent preferred.
· Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
