Safety Manager
Our innovative and growing company is hiring an experienced safety manager. The safety manager will be responsible for ensuring the distribution is up to par with all safety regulations, building an overall safety culture and engaging with employees to champion safety initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure building is compliant with federal, state and local safety regulations, including being up to date with new safety legislation.
- Maintains and monitors compliance with applicable Occupations Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Regulations.
- Guides and promote safe work performance by developing safety systems, policies, procedures and company culture.
- Works collaboratively with key business partners in Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and Human Resources to understand safety initiatives and deliver successful implementation.
- Ensures equipment is up to safety standards.
- Creates safety programs to include investigation, reporting and administration.
- Reinforce company strategies, while balancing goals of corporate goals at Distribution level.
- Lead and manage all required audits.

- Facilitates discussions to enable people to collaborate with each other independently; promotes collaboration across multiple parties.
- Identifies and meets with key players and stakeholders to help them shape a consensus collectively and engages in a dialogue to reach a conclusion together, compromising as necessary for results.
- Develops an explicit understanding of which relationships are most important to the organization and its stakeholders and builds a network prioritizing these relationships. Ability to manage up, down and across an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor leaders.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-6 years of safety management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety protocols.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- A qualification in occupational health and safety.
Salary 100k - 115k
