Job Description:
As a Senior Civil CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings, collaborating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of design documents. As well as mentoring younger staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed CAD drawings for civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, and roadway designs.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project specifications and design standards are met.
* Review and modify existing CAD drawings to incorporate changes and improvements.
* Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and verify project requirements.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, presentations, and technical specifications.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior CAD designers and drafters.
Qualifications:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, CAD Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the civil engineering industry.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant CAD software.
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and design standards.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
