Position at DX1 Platform

DX1, a division of Dominion Enterprises, is hiring an SEO Specialist to join our team performing search engine optimization (organic search) and website analytics for clients.

DX1 is a cloud-based dealership management system for the motorsports industry. We build and maintain customer-facing websites for dealers selling motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, snowmobiles, scooters, power equipment and more. The person in this position will drive customers to dealer websites through SEO and track website traffic through analytics.

This can be a remote position, but applicants must be located within the continental United States and be able to work across time zones during standard business hours.

Position Summary:

The person in this position will help establish, track and improve organic search traffic for dealers’ websites on Google, Bing and other search engines; and set up and maintain website analytics accounts. Tools we currently use include SEMrush, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Excel, Screaming Frog, and Raven Tools.

Job duty breakout: SEO 85%, Analytics 15%

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform long-term continuing SEO work to increase organic traffic on dealers' websites. This can include keyword research, page optimization, site mapping, site-structure recommendations, content creation, crawl analysis, image optimization, off-site SEO, link-building, back-links analysis, metadata writing, on-page text writing, internal-linking strategies, Google Business Profile optimization, and page-speed and Core Web Vitals recommendations.
  • Conduct short-term SEO reviews for dealers' websites: set benchmarks; determine and implement improvements (including metadata, on-page text, site structure, and internal linking); track keyword rankings and organic traffic; adjust SEO as needed.
  • Prepare and present written SEO performance and work summaries to clients. Consult with clients as needed on priorities, issues and opportunities.
  • Set up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console accounts for dealer websites. Occasionally respond to requests for analytics reports, user management, and tag additions.
  • Communicate issues and opportunities to and respond to requests from account managers, website designers, website managers, project coordinators and other staff.
  • Keep up to date on latest news, trends and tools for SEO and website analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellent understanding of SEO with at least two years of experience.
  • Demonstrated website analytics expertise with at least two years of experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Demonstrated SEO keyword research and rank-tracking expertise with at least two years of experience with tools such as SEMrush and Google Search Console.
  • Experience with spreadsheet / data tools such as Google Spreadsheets and Excel.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing skills (grammar, spelling, clarity) with a focus on SEO.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website coding.
  • Excellent time-management skills, ability to work on a deadline, and highly organized. Must be able to work independently with strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications / Pluses:

  • Powersports, Automotive or Marine dealer industry experience.
  • Agency experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Google Analytics certification.

This role offers a compensation of approximately $60,000 annually. Compensation factors include geography, experience, education, job demands, job market, etc. Additional benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account; 401k, matching up to 4% fully vested on day one of employment; paid vacation, company holidays and sick leave; corporate discount opportunities.  This job posting will stay open until the position is filled or deemed to be no longer necessary.
