Job Description

Lovelytics is seeking a Datbaricks certified and established consultant with experience delivering and selling strategic Databricks and data engineering client engagements.

This Solutions Architect will play the role of a data and  AI solution architect, primarily focusing on presales, relating to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling (databricks and the 3 clouds). In addition to the technical capabilities for this role, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion for bringing meaning to data through thought leadership and execution.

Role Location: Open to remote candidates in the US in the following states: MD, DC, CA, IL, IA, IN, MA, NC, TX, TN, GA, CO, NY, NJ, VA, FL, PA, OR with Preference for candidates near HQ (DC Metro) .

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end presales solutioning activities and outcomes.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders in partnership with the sales team to understand the scope of a project, estimating effort, designing future state architecture, and developing statements of work.
  • Articulate business value as part of a technology initiative.
  • Work hand in hand with the Engagement Leader in post sales stages.
  • Develop offerings relevant to industries and emerging trends.
  • Lead assessment and strategy engagements for clients that may be trying to modernize an on-prem data platform, align their data initiative to business outcomes, or revamp a Data & AI operating model
  • Own and deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations to individual clients and groups of prospective clients
  • Ability to interact with various personas across an enterprise ranging from a Technology Lead to COO and solution according to their needs and understanding
  • Provide thought leadership in the form of blogs, technical ideation for Lovelytics' new offerings, and solutions for client's problems across various verticals.
  • Conduct ideation workshops either in person or virtually to help clients understand the art of the possible
  • Constantly help improve Lovelytics' pre-sales and technical sales processes and activities to improve the client experience and our internal sales metrics

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years in Data & AI with 5+ years in a previous consulting firm
  • 2+ years with previous experience estimating, designing, and developing roadmaps for data & AI customer engagements, in a presales capacity
  • Previous experience in Technology Strategy or Advisory within an established consulting firm
  • Experience designing Data or AI Strategies for at least two business functions such as Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Experience with Enterprise Frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, and CMMI
  • Experience with architecting Data Products, Data Mesh, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake implementations for customers
  • Understanding of Valuation basics, Scaled Agile and Product Management
  • Experience with Spark, SQL, and Python
  • Ability to travel within the US
