About the Leadership Role:
The Spaceman Bar & Lounge Manager will provide leadership, support, and oversight for the hotel’s rooftop bar. This leader will be responsible for overall guest satisfaction, colleague training & development, and scheduling. Other responsibilities can include payroll, running of the shift, and acting as Manager on Duty.
Other Responsibilities May Include:
· Acting as a liaison between the Bar and all other hotel departments
· Supervising departmental performance and providing council
· Creating & maintaining efficient procedures within the Bar to promote guest satisfaction
· Mentorship and development of servers, bartenders, and support staff
· Managing hourly colleagues through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating, and hiring
· Leading and the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction
· Monitoring orders, labor cost, quality, and consistency on a daily basis to ensure financial performance and control
· Ensuring proper safety and sanitation of bar facilities and equipment
· Organizing and facilitating departmental meetings, training, and goal setting

· Previous experience in Beverage & Bar Management is required
· Strong leadership, communication, organization, and relationship skills
· Previous experience in venue marketing strategy
· Experience with training, financial management, and customer service
· Proficiency in general computer knowledge
· A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
· Previous experience with managing in a union environment strongly preferred
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
