Job Description

The Structural Steel Detailer will be responsible for creating detailed fabrication drawings and models for structural steel components. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of steel detailing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate and detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and connection details using SDS2 software.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure drawings meet project specifications and deadlines.
* Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate steel detailing.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies or conflicts within drawings and specifications.
* Conduct quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
* Maintain project documentation and drawings in accordance with company procedures.
* Assist in coordinating with fabrication and erection teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, with a focus on using SDS2 software.
* Strong understanding of steel detailing, fabrication processes, and industry standards (AISC, AWS, etc.).
* Proficiency in creating and interpreting structural drawings and details.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
