Training and Recruiting Manager

Position Type:    Full-Time , Direct Hire .

Salary Range:   $65,000-75,000 BOE

Location:   Smithville, TN 

 

Position Summary:

The Training and Recruiting Manager is responsible for posting job openings, collaborating with recruiters, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process. This role involves assisting with new hire orientations, employee events, tracking departmental KPIs , develop and implement training programs , and participating in safety and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, public speaking skills , HR experience in a manufacturing environment , and knowledge of federal and state employment laws. A PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES :

  • Post job openings (internal/external) using various media
  • Collaborate with recruiters and staffing agencies to identify candidates
  • Send candidates to hiring managers and gather feedback
  • Lead interviews and make hiring recommendations
  • Complete onboarding process (drug screen, background check, etc.)
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation and introductions
  • Support employee and community events
  • Track and report departmental KPIs
  • Assist with FMLA/STD administration
  • Participate in Safety Committee activities and trainings
  • Support departmental ISO 14001 and physical security directives
  • Help ensure OSHA compliance and HR-related regulations

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in Learning Management, Instructional Design, HR Development, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation software
  • Public speaking skills for effective training delivery
  • Ability to organize and track data, adhere to schedules
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker's compensation
