Web Designer / SEO Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Web Designer and SEO Specialist to create, user-driven websites while optimizing them for search engines. This role requires expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO principles, along with experience managing Google My Business and Google NSCO. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web design, front-end development, and A/B testing to enhance user experience and site performance.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a repetitive, fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop responsive, user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure website structure, design, and coding are optimized for search engine performance.
  • Perform regular audits and troubleshoot technical SEO and website issues.
  • Manage and optimize Google My Business profiles to enhance local SEO visibility.
  • Utilize Google NSCO tools and insights to improve site performance and rankings.
  • Collaborate with developers, creatives, and user experience teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Implemented and analyzed A/B tests to improve user engagement and conversions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of content management and eCommerce platforms.
  • Stay updated on SEO guidelines, industry trends, and emerging web development technologies.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and development teams on SEO standards and improvements.
  • Digital retouching, image editing, and other graphic design tasks as needed.
  • Support integrations to enhance or maintain SEO competitiveness.
  • Communicate progress and updates with stakeholders and team members.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has a strong record of reliable attendance. A flexible schedule, including daytime, night, and weekend availability, to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of recent experience in front-end development, web design, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with back-end programming is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles, website architecture, and A/B testing.
  • Solid, proven understanding of WordPress and plug-ins
  • Knowledge of other CMS platforms and eCommerce solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within creative and technical teams.
  • Certification in SEO or Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines independently.

Physical Demands:

Frequent sitting, computer use, and data analysis; occasional travel for meetings.
