Zantech is looking for a talented YouTube Platform Social Media Manager to support our Federal Client's premier website, Army.mil, onsite at the Pentagon.

We are seeking a creative and strategic YouTube Platform Social Media Manager to manage and optimize the Army's YouTube channel. This role involves developing content strategies, managing video uploads, engaging with the community, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance visibility and subscriber growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about video content, understands YouTube's algorithm, and has a knack for storytelling that resonates with target audiences.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Content Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute a YouTube content calendar aligned with the Army's social media goals, audience preferences, and trending topics.
  • Video Management : Oversee the uploading, scheduling, and optimization of videos, including titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Audience Engagement : Monitor comments, respond to viewer inquiries, and foster a positive community around the channel.
  • Performance Analysis : Track and analyze key metrics (e.g., views, watch time, subscriber growth, engagement rates) using YouTube Analytics to refine strategies and improve performance.
  • SEO Optimization : Implement YouTube SEO best practices to increase discoverability and ranking in search results.
  • Collaboration : Work with video editors, graphic designers, and communication teams to ensure high-quality, on-brand content production.
  • Trend Awareness : Stay updated on YouTube trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Campaign Support : Promote videos through cross-platform strategies, including integration with other social media channels, to amplify reach.
  • Branding Consistency : Ensure all content aligns with the Army's voice, values, and visual identity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in social media management, with a focus on YouTube.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing a YouTube channel or similar social media platforms, with a track record of growing an audience.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube's algorithm, SEO, and content optimization techniques.
  • Basic video editing or graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva) are a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprinklr, TubeBuddy, or VidIQ).
  • Excellent communication skills and a creative mindset for crafting compelling video concepts.
  • Experience working with the US Army, including the Army and AP/Army Style of writing.
  • Highly organized, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for digital media and familiarity with current trends in video content.
  • Experience in digital marketing or content creation.
  • Background in supporting the Federal Government.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality data solutions.
