Position Overview
The Repair Specialist I will conduct detailed inspections, assemblies, disassemblies, packaging, and testing of mobile phones or similar electronic products. This role is crucial in meeting production targets and ensuring high-quality standards, with responsibilities spanning material supply, scrap coordination, and process improvements. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Repair & Assembly: Conduct repairs, assemble/disassemble components per instructions, ensuring precision and quality.
- Product Handling & Testing: Use tools to protect products from damage; conduct full testing and follow protocols for rejected items.
- Material Control: Receive and inspect materials, report non-compliant items, and coordinate scrap management.
- Production Setup: Assist in material setup at shift start and end; maintain yield KPIs and production targets.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep workspace organized, clean, and compliant with safety and ESD standards.
- Process Feedback: Actively participate in process improvements and follow all required procedures for quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED; 1-2 years of experience in electronics repair.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of assembly, disassembly, and testing; familiarity with tools like electric/manual screwdrivers and suction cups.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meet cosmetic and functional standards, with a keen eye for defects.
- Communication & Basic Computing: Proficient in English with basic skills in MS Office.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
- Organizational Skills: Experience with 5S standards and the ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Capable of standing for 8+ hours and moving between stations.
- Dexterity: Able to bend, squat, reach, and perform fine motor tasks consistently.
