Job Description

Summary: The Travel Industry IT Manager is responsible for ensuring continuity of computer services for users within the company. Provides hands-on expertise to internal and external clients as needed. Responsible for supervising IT staff (team of 2), documenting policy/procedures related to technology used throughout the company. **MUST COME FROM A TRAVEL INDUSTRY BACKGROUND**

REMOTE - California/LA Area preferred (TRAVEL TO LA OFFICE FOR OCCASIONAL MEETINGS)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform supervisory responsibilities associated with IT staff, including employee related issues.
• Develop, document, and enforce company polices as they relate to IT
• Maintain the highest possible levels of systems continuity for all technology platforms
• Maintain Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, IIS, SQL, Interbase, data networks
• Manages 3rd party software programs (Sabre, Apollo GDS, ClientBase/CRM, Invoicing Forms, Itinerary Builders, Reporting Platforms, etc.)
• Online Booking Tool experience (highly proficient)
• Research and implement new technologies as needed
• Maintains good business relationships with internal/external clients/business partners
• Nerd-level attention to details
• Effective oral and written communication skills; demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness inclusive of grammar and spelling.
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Advanced solutions-oriented problem-solving skills that drive innovation and creative thinking
• High aptitude for technology and information systems
• Initiative – volunteers readily: undertakes self-development activities. Asks for and offers help when needed
