Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the integration and implementation of third-party applications as part of a major Epic EHR program. This role is crucial for coordinating activities across various teams and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. You'll report to the EHR Program Management Office, where you'll collaborate with a diverse group of experts and have the opportunity to contribute to the success of this impactful project.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the EHR Program Director, EHR PMO Manager, Application Manager, and other project managers to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of activities.
Assist in developing business cases for approval by the Information Technology Board and Governance (ITGB).
Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between the Client and the Office of the State Chief Information Officer (CIO), Department of Information Technology, and the DIT/Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
Bring your experience with Health Information Technology (HIT) projects, focusing on clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability, to the table.
Utilize your knowledge of PMI standards for project management and apply both Waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans that adhere to state and client IT project management methodologies.
Manage project scope, schedule, and quality within your specific application areas.
Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in IT project management, budgeting, QA methodologies, and standards.
Assist in IT procurements and vendor/contract management.
Offer guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring clear expectations are set and challenges are addressed effectively.
Identify and manage risks, documenting resolutions and tracking progress to ensure projects stay on course.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with project management: 7+ years required
EHR/Health IT training experience: 6+ years required
Capacity to manage multiple priorities: 3+ years required
Ability to lead and communicate effectively with teams: 3+ years required
Strong organizational skills: 3+ years required
Ability to adhere to schedules to meet deadlines: 3+ years required
Excellent interpersonal skills: 3+ years required
Proficient with Microsoft Project, MS SharePoint, and other project management tools: 7+ years required
Experience working with state government processes: Highly desired (6+ years)
